Today started off as usual for a week morning. At 4:00 am the alarm went off while I had already been up for five or ten minutes to skulk around. It was one of those times when I had the opportunity to steal a butt. It was my luck to smoke half the smoke before I put it out. I made it inside and half way to my desk when Peter appeared beside me. I had been that close to having been caught.
I shouldn’t have even tried to steal another smoke. It is something I should not be doing as much as it is against Peter’s demands. I do not want to quit completely but that is not my choice. My overall health demands that I have to quit at some point in the near future. Meanwhile I sneak around as best I can to do what I want. It is something that I have had a considerable amount of luck in not having been caught more than once. I do have my timing down very close.
There was a busy day to add to my journal. We drove to Dr. Spees, the shrink, and had another session. We walked in and out much to our taxed breathing. Both of us were very winded and dangerously out of breath by the time we walked back to the van. I am just glad we did it. Then we drove over to the pharmacy. We also had A & W burgers for supper before driving home.
